This policy explains what information GoGridPulse (gogridpulse.com) handles when you use the site, and the choices you have. The site works without an account, and you can browse the map, filters, and records without giving us any personal information.

Information we collect

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. It is used for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address. Sign-in uses a one-time link sent to that address, and we never ask for or store a password.

Saved filters and alerts. If you save a filter (layer, state, county, a point and radius, or an age range) it is stored against your account so you can view, edit, or delete it later. If you turn on alerts for a filter, we email you when a new record matches it. Every alert includes a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in. We use a third-party email delivery service to send sign-in links and alerts, and it processes your email address only for that purpose.

Messages to us. If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply and follow up.

Location

To show activity near you, the site can look up an approximate, city-level location from your IP address through a third-party lookup service, without any prompt. This rough guess is not stored by GoGridPulse. If you choose to share your device's precise location (always through a button you click, never automatically), your browser handles that directly, and GoGridPulse uses the coordinates only in your browser to sort and center the map. We do not transmit or store them on our servers. If you skip both, the site simply shows the newest activity everywhere.

Cookies, advertising, and Google AdSense

GoGridPulse uses Google AdSense to display ads, and may show ads in the future. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Separately, the site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage so it can remember it. This is not shared with anyone.

How we use and share information

We use the information above only to run the site, send the alerts you ask for, keep the service secure, and respond to you. We do not sell your email address or saved filters, and we do not share them with anyone other than the service providers that host the site and deliver email on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

We keep account information and saved filters until you delete them or ask us to. You can delete saved filters from your account at any time. To delete your account and the information tied to it, email us from the address you signed up with and we will remove it.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain uses. To exercise any of them, contact us. You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies, though some features may not work as well.

Public records on the site

The records shown on the map come from public agency databases and filings, and may include the names of companies, and in some agency records, individuals named as applicants or licensees. We reproduce them as the agency publishes them and link to the source. If you believe a record about you should not appear, contact us and we will review it, though the original record remains the agency's to correct.

Third-party links

The site links to government agencies and other third parties whose practices we do not control, and this policy does not cover them.

Children

GoGridPulse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
